The Nittsu Research Institute and Consulting, Incorporated (NRIC) was established in March 1961 as the first comprehensive research organization in Japan dealing with problems of business logistics and related issues. Since its establishment, NRC has been patronized by the central and local government agencies in Japan and by private enterprises here in Japan as well as abroad.
NRIC's research activities are somewhat different from those carried out in other private research institutes or at university research centers. Here at NRIC, we are not as much as concerned with the theories of logistics, but rather we seek to find ways to utilize previously developed research and methods for the solution of concrete problems.
